about the "special occasion" pages
This template comes with "special occasion" pages.
The basic layout is essentially the same as the Catalog
Layout - what's different are the images.
You can delete the existing text image and replace
it with your own text or custom designed image on these
pages.

about the menu bars
- The home/view basket/help menu is actually
made up of custom-designed graphics. You will not
be able to modify these, although you may delete
the ones you don't want by opening "includes/top.htm."
- The top horizontal menu bar (catalog
layout, etc.) is an ideal place for listing your
catalog pages (such as "flowers," "gifts," "plants,"
etc.). This particular menu bar is generated by
FrontPage, based on the "child pages under home"
level of the navigation structure. Follow the instructions
below for editing this link bar.
- The second horizontal menu bar (special
occasions...) is an include page with manually inserted
links. To edit the links, simply open "includes/specials.htm"
and change the links. (If you use FP2002, you may
insert a "custom link bar" to make it easier to
edit.)
- The bottom menu bar (near the copyright)
is generated by FrontPage, based on the "top level"
pages of the navigation structure. Follow the instructions
below for editing this link bar.
- The various vertical menus that you see
throughout the site are FrontPage-generated based
on the navigation structure. See the instructions
below for how to edit them.
Adding New Pages to Your Web/Link bars
Open a page that has the layout the way you want
it, then go to File/Save As. Save the page under a new
name - be sure to change the page title as well! Then,
go to Navigation View and drag your new page into the
navigation structure into the same level as the other
pages on the link bar.
Deleting Pages from Your Web
Right-click on the pages you wish to delete in your
Folder List, in Folder View, or in Navigation View,
then select "Delete."
Renaming Pages
If you would like to use an existing page but want
to rename it, you may easily do this in Folders View.
Right-click on the file name and/or the page title and
choose "Rename" to rename your file.
about the catalog pages
Please note that this template does not come with
ecommerce capability. You will have to find a third-party
provider (such as PayPal). This template does
come with suggested layouts for catalog pages. If you'd
like to keep within the suggested layouts, make sure
your thumbnail images are 95x107 pixels and your larger
images are 225x255 pixels.
about other aspects of this template
Editing the include pages
The logo and copyright statement are in include pages
for your editing convenience. By opening "includes/top.htm,"
"includes/specials.htm," or "includes/copyright.htm,"
you can make edits, save, and FrontPage will automatically
update all the pages in your web site.
Your Logo Here Image
Delete the "Your Logo here" image and replace it
with your own logo image! Open "includes/top.htm" to
edit the logo area.
Changing Layout
We have formatted the tables so that this page will
look good and resize in Netscape and Internet Explorer.
If you wish to change the layout, please follow these
instructions.
About this page layout
This page has been very carefully formatted with
different nesting tables so that it resizes both vertically
and horizontally. Do not drag on any table lines
- you may "freeze" the page so that it no longer resizes
properly.
Adding other columns to the page
We suggest that you do not directly add columns
to this layout, as you may accidentally "freeze" the
page so that it no longer resizes. Instead, delete the
page template content, then go to Table/Insert/Table
to add your own table in the center area. You may click
within a table and go to Table > Select > Table to get
a better idea of the table structure of this page.
FrontPage 2000
If you're using FrontPage 2000, the link bars with
vertical lines separating the text links will not work.
You may either choose to use the default text style
navigation bars, or open the includes/menu.htm page
and manually type out links.
